reflection on process

I was hesitant to begin this process becuase it is all so new and a different world to me. I went to screencast-o-matic to capture my screencast. This part of the process was easy, but it turned out to be a pain in the neck. Aparently this website does not have the option to save things in the wmv format. The wmv format is needed to view screencasts on the Webcast Archive. Thanks to Emily I was able to have the screencast converted! Next time I will use the Smart Recorder for this task. I think that once I have a SmartBoard I could use screencasting for possible substitutes, preteaching tasks/lessons for students, and even for students who need to make up notes or class assignments.

  1. I love the idea of using the screencasts for substitutes. Kevin Dennis did this, and it worked well for him. Thanks for the warning about screencast-o-matic. I used SMART recorder and was going to try the screencast-o-matic for comparison, but I will stay with what works.
